Maze Game with BGE - Blender Game Engine

This is me just messing around in blender with the BGE - Blender Game Engine. If you are looking for the download link just scroll down to the bottom of this post.

Background

I have some experience in Unity3d, and with my experience Unity3d is a lot better than Blender game engine. This is because of the fact that Blender does not have a perfect game engine. But it might get better in the newer versions. Currently I'm moving on to Unity3d for betterment.

But here is a game that I have made using the Blender Game Engine. It a "3D Maze Game" co-developed by couple of other enthusiasts.

About the game

  1. The objective of the game is to find the gate/door at the end of the maze to finish the level.
  2.  There are totally 3 levels.
  3. Each level has its own texture and scenario. And also varies by difficulty.
  4. There is no time limit to finish the levels.
  5. There is no score for completion of the game.

Little tweaks

There are a little tweaks and bugs in the game, since it was my test project. Please forgive me if there are any annoyance.
  1. The "options" button in the Main Menu of the game is just a fake and does not work. So you cannot adjust any volume or modify the settings.
  2. The game music used are downloaded from the internet and are not copyrighted to us.
  3. There may be a few seam textures used since I was not any expert at UV mapping and seamless textures.

How to play the game

controls:

  • Movement : up, down, right and left.
  • Quit : ` key
  • back to main menu : escape key
